MEET CAROL

Carol Rava has been a parent of Seattle Public Schools students for more than 18 years.

She brings 25 years of professional policy-level leadership and operational expertise in education.

She has lived in Seattle’s southeast neighborhoods since 1998 and has three children and two stepchildren who attend or attended Seattle Public Schools.

CAROL’S PRIORITIES

  1. All students are reflected in the district’s goals and provided both the opportunity and support to excel.

  2. Learning opportunities are equitable in access and quality, and families can choose the programs that work for their students.

  3. Schools are safe and safety is a shared responsibility with the community and city.

  4. The budget is balanced and resources are allocated based on data and aligned to teaching and learning goals.

  5. The community is engaged and communications are accessible, transparent and consistent. 

Carol Rava believes every student deserves an excellent education that prepares them for success. She's committed to ensuring Seattle Public Schools provides safe learning environments, sets achievement goals that reflect all students, makes data-driven decisions, operates with fiscal responsibility, and engages meaningfully with all communities.
